We met at Sandy's parents' house. We didn't talk or initiate any conversation, we were just two separate Hmong kids.

Daniel caught my eye and I nicknamed him "cute boy." But I was determined to start college with no strings attached. The first question Daniel asked me was, "Aye, don't you go to Rufus?"

After that we didn't speak again until his little sister Serena was born. A few days prior to Serena's emergency arrival, I dreamed that Daniel and I went to see the new Jurassic World movie. I decided to message him on Facebook to tell him about this dream; and my dream came true. After that movie the rest was history; we became inseparable.

In the 10 years we've been together, we have dated multiple versions of each other. We've experienced laughter, loss, and many accomplishments. Through it all we continuously taught each other something new about ourselves. We showed one another that time and time again, we will always choose us.
